Junior Master Gardener certification coursework
Junior Master Gardener certification is offered through the Cooperative Extension to youth interested in achieving an extensive understanding of gardening. Our program runs a full Illinois growing season, from May to October when our SPIN Club is active. Certification Fee is $75 per youth and sometimes less where funds are available to subsidize the program.

Learning the effects of wind and rain, how the envionment relates to soil health and what lighting and temperature each plant needs to grow are a few topics we will cover

Nutrition, digging in the dirt, stretching into a downward dog yoga pose are just a few things we'll talk about to balance body energy waves
Advanced Agriculture
New technology and simple systems like rain water catchment are a few areas we will discuss about sustainability and workflow
Garden Layout
Topics like companion planting, square foot gardening and container planting are a few topics we'll discuss
